A BIT OF STAR TREK HISTORY
STAR TREK premiered on NBC tv on Sept 8, 1966.
Grace Lee Whitney played Captain Kirk’s yeoman, Janice Rand and was one of Treks ill fated original cast members who only had appeared in 11 episodes before her Star fell tragically.
This rare regional edition from Pennsylvania is one of the few ever to have featured Grace Lee Whitney and appeared after Star Trek was 5 months into its first season in Feb of 1967.
Very limited REGIONAL distribution , this magazine was only available in the Sunday NEWS Sunday edition in Pennsylvania. Very few exist today.
Condition : NEAR MINT. Archivally stored in a non smoking household.
You will not find a finer specimen. BRIGHT white , almost as the day it appeared , very minor discoloration on interior pages. Little or NO corner wear. A small nick is noted in top right corner and minor paper marks . Staples shiny bright . There are minor marks to the covers and 2 small sublime hairline tears running parallel to each other , 3/4 of an inch and a half inch in length in what is a near flawless issue.
